Before the holidays, NCHS Multilingual Learners made and sold over 150 beaded bracelets to raise funds to assist the family of a five-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who lives in a rural area of Guatemala.
Last week, the proceeds reached their destination, a local nonprofit in little Calixto’s home village. His mom was able to obtain a supply of essential items needed for his care and a bit of cash to purchase his seizure medications and some bananas and other soft foods that he can easily chew and swallow.
Thanks to the many students and staff who supported this worthy cause!
