Save the Date, Bulldogs!
Check out this week's bulldog highlight.
Noah Mathis epitomizes what it means to be a Bulldog. He is consistently ready, often showing up to Next Gen meetings with a head-start on his work. Ms. Trice says, "He is one of the most responsible students I know, always on top of deadlines, and holding a job outsdie of school. I could go on and on about Noah and what makes him a great Bulldog, but it's best displayed in interactions with him."
Great work, Noah!
Ms. Rada's algebra students were busy cracking codes in class. Well done, bulldogs! We are Bulldogs! #NCHSfamily

Do you know what it means to be a bulldog?
Josh knows what it means to be a Bulldog! He's an exceptional student, who not only works hard, but also looks after others. From working the school store, and many times using his own funds to help kids that were a little short of money, to using his kindness to help the Spanish club create art, Josh puts 100% effort into everything. He is kind and caring about his school, classmates, and community. Way to go, Josh!
Kudos to Ms. Davey for leading this recognition program. We are Bulldogs!

The NCHS physics classes recently toured the Air Mobility Command Museum at the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, DE. Students got to tour a variety of planes and learn about how military equipment is shipped around the world. Students got to go inside of the largest military plane, the C5-A. Several students were also able to fly a plane using the flight simulator inside of the museum (some students were more successful than others landing a plane on the virtual runway at Dover AFB). Thanks to the museum staff for hosting NCHS students and to Operations Manager, Mr. Michael Hurlburt (a Caroline County resident), for helping to organize and manage the experience. Everyone had a great time!

It is another great week at NCHS!
Students in Dr. Moyer’s physics classes are in the midst of studying how waves transfer energy through a process called selective absorption. Recently they used red and green lasers to see if the laser beam went directly through red and blue Jello or if it simply got absorbed by the Jello. Later they were able to shine the lasers through an acrylic block to see how laser light can be refracted. It seemed like everyone was having some fun while learning about waves.
